The Good , The Bad and The Stupid

 First The Good

Spent a couple of days exploring around Peterborough, this included Magnetic Hill, we did indeed roll up hill, not that you can tell by a photo.

Peterborough was full of historical buildings a bit of a shame they aren't cared for

We departed Peterborough and headed through Horrocks Pass through the Flinders to come intointo Port Augusta, but not before coming across this beauty. FNQ may have the towering Kauris but SA has the wide gums.

We stayed at a caravan park whilst at Pt Augusta, with views of the Gulf and of The Flinders Ranges.

Took the opportunity to head slightly North to the Red Cliff Lookout, for stunning views of Spencer's Gulf and the Flinders in the background

As you can see the sun is shining brightly and hot (Yay) - about time.
So now
The Bad.
Our airconditioner has stopped working, we thankfully have fans and it hasn't been too unbearable.
Have found a Dometic dealer to look at it on Friday, so was hoping a quick fix, but no. It looks like we need a whole new unit, so still waiting to hear about lead times etc for that to happen, if it can happen.
Then just to finish the day we took a turn too tight and the stone guard on the van took out our tail light.

The good side to this is Les has arranged to get this fixed next week at Port Augusta.
Accidents happen, live and learn.

So in the interim we have travelled down into Yorke Peninsula, first night at Clements Gap Old School site,

and have made a bit of a base in Moonta for a few days. And that leads us to the Stupid. (Sorry, probably a bit harsh, but you decide)
Moonta supplies a large oval type space for RV camping, there are a few caravanners' here, but we found one, not on anyone's door step, there is a fair bit of space.
Fantastic spot.

We went for a bit of a drive and came back to this

Apart from that Moonta is lovely, and the weather beautiful.

Trying some fishing, not that we hold out much hope, but good fun trying, even went for a swim in the ocean.

Its getting that warm that even the fake plants are suffering

    1. Hopefully we aren't included in that description. Although no doubt, at times we probably do, but yes, there is no understanding some people.
