Yes, you read it right, we are moving again. The window, along with the door handle and Jessica's window have now all been replaced and we've hit the road again.

Crossing the NT Border,
It is so flat and boring crossing this Hwy |
From Mt Isa we travelled across the Barkley Hwy, the heat is still oppressing and we have decided no bush camping until at least the nights are more mild. The Barkley Homestead was a pleasant overnight stay, and then on to Tennant Creek. Les has spent quite a few years around Tennant working at a couple of the mines in the area, it was great to go and see these sites even though they have been closed for many years. The Gecko Mine ceased operation in the early 90's but the head frame and ore sample sheds still remain, as for Warrego there wasn't much remaining, Warrego was the township as well as the copper mine but all buildings had been removed and only the shell of the daycare centre and a few out buildings remained.

We spent a few nights in Tennant Creek, before heading South towards Alice Springs.
The weather has become slightly more mild and we set up camp at the Devil's Marbles, we camped at the base of this unique rock formation and we even had a dingo curl up and sleep beside the van.
The sunset, rising moon and sunrise were magnificent.
