Caravan repairs

Not much to report this week.

Had an issue with the ATX Suspension leveller whilst up at Bellowye and we needed to put it in for repairs in Melbourne, so after a gail force warning, (along with possible hail and destructive winds) we made for a roadside stop on the Hume Hwy not far from the city. We actually pulled the "Not Comfortable Staying Here Card" (First time ever) and after sitting in this roadside stop for 15 minutes, pulled up stumps and moved on, luckily found a 24 hour servo down the road at Kalkallo and just parked up down a side street next to there.  My plan was if it hails, drive into, and under the servo for cover, but apart from an impressive light show thankfully had no hail. The stop was a bit noisy but really, for one night, we managed.

Before arriving here we had to leave the sanctuary of Stringybark Creek, passed some lovely old towns, firstly Tolmie, it may only have a pub abut boy did it have some character.

Then Mansfield and on to Bonnie Doon, "Oh The Serenity".  Moved through to Seymour for water which just happened to be in the Vietnam Veterans Walk of Rememberence, they have done this so well, even with the mounted chopper.

Thankfully we were able to get the van back the same day, can't thank Freestyle RV of Somerton enough, would highly recommend to anyone needing service or repairs, the customer service was amazing. They pre-ordered all the parts they thought they may need and had them ready for us that day, so we hit the highway out of Melbourne heading to Lake Bolac to stay with Dave & Julie.

Parked up in their back yard was awesome, didn't see any rabbits as promised and no eels either but we are to head back there soon, so maybe then.  The wind may have deterred the bunnies, and yes it was windy there too. Couldn't really do anything but eat and drink and stay merry.

We did head out for a drive into Hall's Gap one day, going through Moysten, the birthplace of Aussie Rules Football.

And of course ended up with a few drinks at the scenic Hall's Gap Hotel

With  the wind still howling we left Lake Bolac and headed back into Melbourne (Northern suburbs anyway) We had a couple of nights up at Panton Hills with Stewie and another big night, oh boy do I need to dry out.
And currently this Sunday night we are up in Kilmore, a historic town to celebrate Fathers' Day.
Happy Fathers' Day to all the Dads. With a quick 40 minute drive down to see Les' Dad, it was a handy spot to be ready to actually leave tomorrow and have Melbourne in the rear view mirror - Yahoo.
On the road again.

So much for not much to report!!
