Still On The Murray

This week we moved from the beautiful Cohuna RV camp ground and further East to find a one nighter along the Goulburn River near McCoys Bridge, it was more like a gravel pit but perfect for what we needed

We woke to a rather foggy day and headed through Shepparton, a quick shopping stop, and then headed slightly North again towards Cobram.  We found a small town, Tungamah, with a donation based RV Camp on the banks of the Boosey Creek, it was behind the tennis club and we had access to toilets and showers.  Walking distance into town and the pub, and also central to the silo art trail, so spent a day driving doing this also.

Tungamah Lions Club Park
It seems its a staple for all Lions Parks to have an old tractor to climb on😂

Interesting fact: Coles Shopping Group started by GJ Coles came from St James, only 18 kms from Tungamah and home to one of the painted silos, honouring the man and his vision.  See, this travelling gig can be educational.

Even the public toilets had a mural

Then finally leaving this remarkable town and headed into Cobram to catch up with very good friends, a big night had by all and definitely a quiet Saturday required to recover, have moved into the Cobram RACV Caravan Park to parkup for a couple of days, this is only our 4th paid camping spot for the entire trip, so figure we deserve a bit of extra luxury.

It was also from here we travelled into Melbourne on Sunday 4th August to celebrate Ron's 90th.
