Back On The Road

Finally....

It's been a long wait, but here we are again, back in the van.

We are booked in for the repairs down at Brisbane so Bruce Hwy, here we come again.

Think we could do this run with our eyes shut, but we won't try that.

A quick bee line for Brisbane, stopping at Giru, (an old favourite)

then the Calliope River and finally at Gympie, before a very cold and early run into Burpengary to caravan workshop. Giru was peaceful & quiet, love this spot. Calliope River was extremely busy, it didn't help we got in reasonably late, for a free stop anyway (after 4pm) but managed to find somewhere to park up, its getting cooler. Had driven enough by the time we were in Gympie so found a free stop on the South side, many permanents here some doing it really tough, it wasn't a great spot, as some were a bit louder than others and we were glad to leave that one behind.

Calliope RV Stop

The van went in for repairs and have got it back with a working awning👍, the front window is a different matter however as the old one cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. The service guys are trying to source a new one from Lotus so we are waiting to hear about that, in the meantime we are back in the van.

Moved out to Tully Memorial Park for a few nights, can catch up with Jess from here and plan to have a roast with her on Sundayđź’–

Even sent her home with a take away back

This park is a great spot, 72 hour stays are allowed, there is an impressive historical structure, made from the original bridge girders from 1800s, marking past flood levels of the Logan River which flows next to the park, it is quite spectacular all lit up at night.
